To enhance disaster awareness, foster cultural interaction, and promote a culture of collaboration within the Balkan Cities Cooperation Platform, a competition will be organized among university students. The objective is to establish disaster and emergency/search and rescue teams among university students, ensuring more effective participation in disaster and emergency activities, while concurrently increasing awareness of disasters among young university students.
This competition, titled "Search and Rescue Competition," will take place among Balkan Cities Cooperation Platform Universities. The event is scheduled to occur from May 23rd to 26th, 2024, at Gökçetepe Nature Park in Keşan district of Edirne. The timeline for the competition is as follows:

This competition, open to the participation of Balkan Cities Cooperation Platform countries, will be organized in the format of 'Balkan Cities Cooperation Platform Championship' with the participation of teams from Balkan Cities Cooperation Platform. The transportation, accommodation, and meal expenses of the participants will be covered by the Balkan Cities Cooperation Platform (Türkiye).
